Cucumbers are Cool.

Bloggie friends!

Not much happening in Old Kitty’s world so here is Charlie and his attempt at showing some Christmas spirit!

Charlie says: I wear Santa hat for nobody.

And here is my attempt at more Bad Poetry!
*************************
Avoid like the plague by Old Kitty

Such a stick in the mud
Was Brian, the boy next door
And worse was his good for nothing brother!

But they were thick as thieves
And did exactly what was said on the tin
And were over the moon when I legged it.

Just as well I didn't peg it.

:-)
***********************************
The above is my entry to the gorgeous Madeleine’s Cool as a Cucumber Blogfest – a feast of more clichés you could shake a stick at!

Deck the halls with boughs of holly – tra-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-laaaaa!

I saw a pet santa hat today at the store. but it looked like the size of a mouse's head. My dog would shake it off in about 2 seconds

LOL! Charlie would make a very good Santa's helper. He looks good in red :)

Your cliche poem is perfect!

Happy decorating/baking/card writing/ party going/etc., Jen!

Charlie, you can just about crawl right into that hat and make a tent out of it.....just sayin!

Charlie, you made us laugh. We've never seen anyone wear a hat like that before!

Charlie, that Santa hat could be a cape for you. Sure looks pretty with your white furs.
Your Mom is quite the poet. We liked that poem a lot. Good one.Take care and have a great week.

It can be so much fun to play with cliches. I think you did a great job!

Theresa Milstein said...

Cliches are underrated. This blogfest is better than sliced bread. So many cliches in such a little space - well done!

Charlie, I'm glad to see you appear dignified despite Old Kitty's attempts to get you to wear an oversized hat.

Your poem is beautiful and I loved it!

Cliches are images that used to sparkle. This blogfest was away of dusting off the love of ages and giving them another time to shine. For a tiny poem you condensed a whoel bunch of cliches in there. Great fun!

Charlie, you should go with the flow and get into the Christmas spirit. Old Kitty found you impressive and appropriate leisure wear and you look like a cat who likes his leisure ;)

Susan Fields said...

That was quite a feast of cliches - good job!

And Charlie looks very handsome posing with a Santa's hat!

Ann said...

Well your cliche poem made me giggle. Well done!

Hart Johnson said...

Cali's idea of Christmas spirit is to attack the things left under the tree. Love your 'cliche' entry!

Cody understands, Charlie.
The saddest picture I have of Cody is one taken at the Pet Center with Cody wearing a Santa hat. Not a happy puppy.
Nice poem. I think I know your neighbors. :)

Aww, Charlie seems to be very much in the Christmas spirit. But will he ever wear that hat? I know my kitties wouldn't. No way. : )

We don't do hats either Charlie! Fun poem!

Love the poem. My dog doesn't like wearing anything either.

LOL...I thought your poem was going to be about the plague. I think I spend too much time reading history books. :)

Charlie looks wonderful.

Caryn Caldwell said...

Cute! :-)

Arlee Bird said...

Okay--I'll hold no punches. That was truly bad poetry. It had more cliches than you could shake a stick at--a muddy stick at that. If this blogfest had been a contest you would have been the winner.
And I'm still smiling.

Am looking forward to Christmas over here in New Jersey too! (I'm not wearing a hat either Charlie!)

Kitty has a sense of pride, I see. There'll be no silly hat in his future, even after catnip.

Have a great holiday season.
